Meet our Pastor: Rev. Anna Crews Camphouse
Rev. Dr. Anna Crews Camphouse is a compassionate and visionary pastor who brings a wealth of experience to her ministry. With a background that spans nursing, theology, and community engagement, Anna has dedicated her life to serving others and fostering inclusive communities.
A native of Alabama, Anna began her professional journey as a registered nurse, working in intensive care, long-term acute care, and emergency settings. Her commitment to holistic care led her to pursue theological studies, earning both a Master of Divinity and a Doctor of Ministry in Pastoral Care and Counseling from Claremont School of Theology.
Anna is an ordained elder in the California-Pacific Conference of the United Methodist Church and has served congregations across California, Nebraska, Alabama, Connecticut, and New York. A deep commitment to social justice, interfaith dialogue, and empowering women characterizes her ministry. She has been actively involved in initiatives such as the Global Women's Village and the Institute for Religious Tolerance, Peace and Justice.
Currently, Anna serves as the pastor for Lakeville United Methodist Church, Sharon United Methodist Church, Canaan United Methodist Church, and Millerton United Methodist Church. She also serves as the Lead Pastor of the Northwestern Hills Cooperative Parish UMC. She and her husband, Rev. David Camphouse, who directs the Silver Lake Camp & Retreat Center, reside in Sharon with their three children: Sophia, and twins Paul and John.
Anna's approach to ministry emphasizes relationship-building, community engagement, and creating sacred spaces for meaningful conversations. She believes in the transformative power of faith communities to bring about healing and hope in the world.
